Santa Clara County Certification, Accreditation and Credentialing
ALL CREDENTIAL PROCESSING WILL BE CONDUCTED VIA THE WEB BASED SANTA CLARA COUNTY EMS SYSTEM CREDENTIALING PORTAL THAT IS ACCESSIBLE BELOW.
DUE TO COVID-19, NO WALK-INS WILL BE ADMITTED. ALL CERTIFICATION ITEMS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Initial EMT Certification, Initial Paramedic Accreditation and all other Initial Credentials identification verification, payment processing, and personnel photographing will be conducted by appointment only.
Livescans should ONLY be completed AFTER you have applied for a certification, or accreditation. If a livescan is needed, the EMS Agency will send you the form for completion.

Are you currently a Paramedic in the State of California and are looking to become an accredited paramedic in Santa Clara County?

Obtaining your EMT is a three-step process.
- You must pass an EMT course
- Take and pass the National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) computer-based exam.
- You then must apply for California EMT certification through a local EMS Agency.
